Rumors of the Boston Celtics shopping Rajon Rondo around to other NBA teams have been on-going for the past few season, but picked up steam over the past few weeks.
Now, a deal has been done.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports, the Celtics have sent Rondo, along with Dwight Powell to the Dallas Mavericks in exchange for Brandan Wright, Jae Crowder, Jameer Nelson, 2015 first-round pick and future second-round pick.

ESPN.com is reporting the deal is nearly done and that other players may be added to the package on either side, but the deal should be complete tonight. Rondo is heading to Texas.
Rondo is a veteran of nine NBA seasons, all with the Celtics, and a four-time NBA All-Star. The former first-round pick has suited up for 527 games in Celtic green and averaged 11 points-per game, 8.5 assists-per game and 4.7 rebounds-per game.
This year, Rondo has posted 8.3 PPG, 10.8 APG and 7.5 RPG with the Celtics.
Boston will get two former first-round picks and a former second-round pick in return. Wright was selected 8th overall by the Charlotte Bobcats during the 2007 NBA Draft, while Nelson was taken 20th overall by the Denver Nuggets in 2004.
The Celtics were at the league limit of 15 players before making this deal and will need to shed a few players to absorb these new additions to their roster. Likely still on the block is forward Jeff Green.
In addition to the players, Boston adds even more draft picks to their already stacked list.
The Celtics knew they need to move Rajon Rondo for the future of the team, but did they get a enough in return? Only time will tell.
